About the Director

Patricia Boiko is an award winning independent documentary filmmaker. She created documentaries which were broadcast nationally and internationally on TV and showcased on YouTube and the internet archive. She produced and directed, “The Corporal’s Diary” which enjoyed a theatrical release was featured on “Good Morning America” and is nationally and internationally distributed.

Boiko helped direct and film members of the International Tribunal for the Genocide in Rwanda for the University of Washington project: Voices from the Rwanda Tribunal. She produced and directed short documentaries and teaching videos in Africa for Peace Corps volunteers and the Pygmy Survival Association. She produced short stories about social and political issues for a weekly television broadcast IndyMedia Presents. She received producer training in the KCTS/911 Media Arts sponsored program, New Voices, and is certified in Documentary Film Production by the University of Washington.
